Maryann was voted by her fellow Bonney Lake citizens to win a contest Alta Dawne Photography was hosting..."The True Character of Bonney Lake." However, as I photographed this entire family, I realize that each one of them portrays the true essence of a citizen of this wonderful town - Strength, Ambition, Grace, Hope, and Joy. Sure Neil may be the mayor, but his family is a great source of his strength. It was an honor to be able to photograph this family, in a location that is 100% pure Bonney Lake - the Gateway to the city itself.
As Helen Keller once said, "Character cannot be developed in ease and quite. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." Watching this family, I realize this is totally true.
